California Guacamole Recipe

Here in California, guacamole is inseparable from beer. There are many great Mexican beers but if you can find Pacifica or Tecate you’ll enjoy their fresh, crisp bite with this classic Mexican appetizer.

Ingredients

• 3 3 3medium, fully ripe avocados
• ¹/₄ 0.25 0.25cup CUP_USVolumefreshly squeezed lime juice
• ¹/₃ 0.33 0.33cup CUP_USVolumefreshly chopped cilantro
• 1 1 1medium shallot, minced
• 1 1 1tablespoon TABLESPOON_USVolumeroasted garlic (see separate recipe)
• 1 1 1small jalapeno, seeded and minced
• 1 1 1teaspoon TEASPOON_USVolumesalt 

Instructions

1. Halve one avocado, remove pit and scoop flesh into medium bowl. Repeat with remaining avocados. Pour lime juice over avocado flesh.
2. Using a fork or potato masher, mash lightly until mixture is still a little chunky. Stir in cilantro, shallot, roasted garlic, jalapeno and salt.
3. Serve with tortilla chips. (Guacamole can be made ahead and covered with plastic wrap and kept refrigerated for up to 8 hours. Return to room temperature before serving.)
   
   Note: Makes about 2 cups, serves 4 to 6

Thursday, May 5, our National Day of Prayer. Among my many friends couple regularly attend a house of prayer, does not believe in a higher power.

I have heard that “Courage is fear that has said that prayer, and pray every time I call someone gets sick, died, is facing some adversity, I will stop doing it. My favorite and most constant prayer is “thank you” to my health, my family, my friends, my life.

Wadi-e-Baida known as also Wadi-e-Jinn in MADINA : History Of Wadi-e-Baida Once RasoolAllah s.a.w. was passing by this Wadi and one Yahudi asked him to show him a Miracle. RasoolAllah s.a.w. asked the Yahoudi what miracle he wants to see the Yahoudi pointed towards a Tree and said Call the tree towards you if you are a Prophet the Tree would listen to you and would obey your orders. RasoolAllah s.a.w. just saw the Tree and it started walking towards him and the Yahoudi instantly accepted ISLAM.

We have heard many stories from the locals that they have heard strange Voices of Jinns in that Wadi and those who have stayed their in Night said that they hear voices asking them to go back you dont belong here..this is our place.   Narated Aisha r.d.a. : Allahs Apostle said : An army will invade the kaaba and when the invaders will reach Al Baida (Wadi -e- Jinn) all the ground will sink and swallow the whole army..I said "O Allahs Apostle pbuh! how will thy sink into the ground while amongst them will be their markets(ppl who worked in business and not invaders) and the people not belonging to them? the prophet replied all of those people will sink but thy will be resurrected and judged according to their intentions.

When I grow up I want to work at Google Work Environment:Today I had the great privilege of having lunch with Dave Symonds, an old friend who now works at Google as a software engineer. Basically, when I grow up and finish school I want to work there. It is the most seriously decked out work environment I have ever seen.
From their funky reception desk, with themed wall and swinging tyres hanging from the ceiling; to their staff hang out areas complete with pool tables, table tennis tables, wii’s, playstations, food, food and more food.

There are something like 5 full time chefs who provide breakfast, lunch and dinner for the staff. Google obviously prides itself on providing their people with whatever they need to make them feel valued.  Its a truly awesome place. I liken it to walking into Willy Wonker’s chocolate  factory!  A massive shout-out to Dave for showing me around! If you listen to the podcast stay tuned for a future episode with Dave. It should be fascinating, he is involved in some pretty cool things.
